KN1201 Resveratrol

Resveratrol is a non-alcoholic ingredient in wine. Grapes, peanuts, lilies, pine trees and many plants are rich in resveratrol. Resveratrol is phytoalexin, which is a natural plant antibiotic. When plants are affected by environmental stress and infected by fungal and bacteria, they would produce phytoalexin to against external invasion, resveratrol is one of them.

In recent years, a moderate consumption of wine on health benefits has been aroused wide attention. Research confirmed that wine contains resveratrol and polyphenols such as Oligomeric Proanthocyanidins (OPC), anthocyanins, catechins, and so on. These vegetal nutrients have well antioxidant activity, not only to protect the body from free radical attack and reduce the morbidity and mortality of cardiovascular disease, but also enhance immune function, prevention of cancer, osteoporosis and many degenerative diseases.
